Amba Art Gallery

The key design feature of this design is the exposed pre-engineered steel structure,
linear and modular to minimize construction time and building costs.
Prefabs are mostly constructed inside a controlled factory setting, where it is much easier to build to precise specifications, with the exact materials, keeping waste to a minimum, therefore, your project won't be just more environmentally friendly, it will be also much cheaper.
A highly efficient material utilization where all the building materials are fully recyclable qualifies the building as highly sustainable and eco-friendly.
Prefabricated buildings can be built in much less time than it takes to build in a conventional way, up to 80% faster more or less, due to the fact that prefabs are built on assembly lines in the factory, with few interruptions and then assembled on the construction site minimizing any kind of adverse factors like weather, sudden temporary unavailability of the workforce, the latter very common here, etc. This much greater program certainty obviously translates in a series of positive outcomes like controlled and reduced costs and fewer headaches among others.

This construction typology produces much less debris than a traditional building avoiding the treatment and removal of them, the shorter construction time allows lowering substantially the carbon footprint minimizing the transport of the workforce and shipment of building materials.

The foundations are concrete pillars in this case, not the metallic screw piles we talked about, and the gallery building will stand above ground level at a height that ranges roughly from one to two meters, depending on the slope of the land, having a zero ground impermeabilization coefficient with no soft or hard land grading, no harms to tree roots or any other kind of plants, etc. Minimizing to such an extent the need for area preparation versus the case of a conventional foundation with concrete slabs, again is achieved a significant save in costs and much faster execution time lowering to a minimum the environmental impact.
Not reducing the surface of the ground area absorbing rainwater keeping a certain height from the ground level protects the structure from the ground moisture, making it more durable and reliable and minimizing maintenance, protects the building from rain flooding, etc.
Being the gallery building I have designed modular, it can be easily extended and the surface increased according to your needs and specs.

Therefore the most important key factors are:

construction timeframe +/- 80% faster;
building costs +/- 40% cheaper.
