SC House Sobreiras

When I design a house there are always two things in my mind that influence my work, modernist architecture and my allergy to perimetrical blind walls. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Philip Johnson on top of a list of names that would be too long to name them all and endless floor-to-ceiling glazing façades that fade the boundaries between internal and external space. Originally, this was a design of a hotel with a circular and symmetrical plan which in this case has lost a specular half-circle while maintaining the central corridor with the two rooftop transparent pools which now acts as a concrete support backdrop for the semi-circular prefab modular structure in exposed corten steel, wood, and glass. I love modernist architecture and this is the way it reflects in my work.

Lina siempre dijo que el arquitecto debía de ser un personaje humilde que dejara que la vida suciedera y no imponer ciertas forma de vida.
